Drum brakes and disc brakes share the same concept in their use:  they both use pads to press against a rotating surface to slow or stop your vehicle.  In a drum brake system, the pads are referred to as shoes and the rotating surface is the drum.  Many cars utilize the drum brakes on the rear wheels while disc brakes are on the front, which means maintenance on drums are rarely needed since most of the braking power is applied to the front brakes.  But, when maintenance is required of the drum brakes, that means that the brake drum has reached its maximum allowed diameter, similar to how brake rotors are allowed a minimum thickness.

Cquence offers two types of aftermarket drum brakes:  standard and premium.

All drum brakes are OE application specific and are balanced to prevent any vibrations or chatter during vehicle operation.

Premium brake drums are of an even higher quality build and have a fully-machined finish for a clean look through the wheels.  These drums have an electro-plated, black finish or OE painted finish to protect the brake drums from harmful weather conditions.

We are continually working to update our website with more brands and product.  For OEM brake drums, please contact us at 888-862-2234 for availability and pricing.
