Posi Quiet Extended Wear brake pads are made of a semi-metallic compound. Semi-metallic brake pads provide outstanding performance and are preferred for their stopping capabilities. Although semi-metallic brake pads may have a few minor undesired qualities, this brake pad compound more than compensates for its stopping power and performance.
The Extended Wear brake pads have thicker friction material compared to the other brake pads. This means they last longer or have longer wear and they have a high heat fade temperature. A high heat fade temperature means that the risks for brake fade is lower and you can expect good, stable braking performance at high temperatures. This type of brake pad is recommended for heavy duty or fleet service applications.
